Claire Allen, CH Four Biogas

Claire first learned about biogas while studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, ON. Upon finishing her engineering degree and a Bachelor of Education at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON, she began work at CH Four Biogas (then Genesys Biogas). Since 2008 she has dedicated her professional career to developing anaerobic digestion projects in Canada and North America (with a 5 month leave of absence to work with farmers in Ghana with Engineers Without Borders). Her love of biogas technology, particularly as a means for farm diversification, has continued to grow. Her 10 years of experience supporting farmers who operate anaerobic digester and working with regulators in numerous new jurisdictions gives her an understanding of the challenges faced by the industry. She would like to put this on-the-ground knowledge to use in helping the CBA support existing anaerobic digestion projects and to expand across the country.
