Highlights of the 2020 Value of Biogas East Conference program are as follows:

Day 1 (March 26th)

7:30 am – 8:30 am: Breakfast and Registration

8:30 am – 12:00 pm: Biogas/RNG Tour
Join us for a tour of Markham’s Energy Storage Facility. Attendees will be introduced to Power-to-Gas technology and given the opportunity to view the system which is jointly owned by Enbridge Gas Distribution and Hydrogencis Corporation.

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: Lunch and Networking

1:00 pm – 4:15 pm: Drivers for Successful and Sustainable Biogas Projects: International Perspectives Symposium
International presenters will expand on the biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) experience from a number of countries with well-developed industries. Attendees will learn about the history of, and lessons learned in, the biogas/RNG industry in specific countries and include for future perspectives. This symposium is supported by the International Energy Agency (IEA) Bioenergy Task 37 Group and held in conjunction with the 2020 Value of Biogas East Conference.

4:15 pm – 4:30 pm: Networking and Refreshments

4:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Canadian Biogas Association AGM
Canadian Biogas Association members in good standing will hear a summary of 2019 achievements, progress and financial review for the Association and updates on 2020 activities and priorities. Members will also acknowledge the voluntary contributions of the past year and elect new Board of Director members. IEA Task 37 members & conference attendees are welcome to observe.

5:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Canadian Biogas Industry Awards & Networking Reception
Conference attendees are invited to attend an evening networking event. This is a chance for conference attendees to meet and share their experiences and their involvement in the biogas sector. The CBA’s will also present the Canadian Biogas Industry Awards. These awards will recognize accomplishments of organizations and individuals in the biogas sector and showcase successful Canadian biogas projects and individual efforts providing well deserved recognition while demonstrating the benefits of biogas technology. The awards ceremony will include two categories: 2020 Project of the Year and 2020 Biogas Champion. 

Day 2 (March 27th)

7:30 am – 8:30 am: Breakfast and Registration

8:30 am – 4:45 pm: Value of Biogas East Conference
