The 2019 Value of Biogas West Conference provides you with the opportunity to visit both Lush and Village Farms. Join us to learn how and why Lush and Village Farms are using landfill gas and renewable natural gas to improve their business.
Note: All attendees MUST wear closed toe shoes (preferably steel toe boots). Absolutely no heels allowed.
Buses for the Tour will leave the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront at 12:30 pm, returning at 5:30 pm. Spaces on the Tour will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for the Tour is $75 and includes bus transportation to and from the facilities and light refreshments.
As a consumer of 100% RNG, Lush is leading the charge towards sustainability. Now, Lush has gone one step further by installing CleanO2’s CARBiNX micro-carbon capture technology. This technology captures carbon emissions from their batch bomb process and turns it into sodium carbonate (soda ash). Join us on January 14th to hear how all this is possible.
For years Village Farms has used landfill gas in their co-gen engines to produce renewable electricity for B.C. Hydro, and heat for their greenhouses. Quadrogen Power Systems has installed a hex-generation demonstration system at Village Farms for converting landfill gas into six renewable products. In the first stage, RNG will be produced and compressed into CNG. Later, biodiesel, electricity, heat, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide will be produced. Join us on this tour to learn about Village Farms’ landfill gas past, present and future.
