8:30 – 9:15 am: Opportunities and Challenges for Canadian Water Utilities in Producing and Utilizing Biogas Effectively
The Canadian Water Network (CWN) has launched the "Charting the Course to Net Zero Water in Canada" project, bringing together municipalities, cleantech networks, utilities, and academia to develop a net-zero roadmap for the Canadian water sector. The capture and utilization of biogas is a strategy that wastewater utilities can leverage to reduce energy usage and generate revenue. This session will feature CWN and project partners discussing the opportunities and challenges for water utilities in utilizing biogas to meet their net-zero water goals.
