BIOGEST America signs LOI for Joint Development and Financing of its First RNG Project in Quebec

BIOGEST America Inc. signed a letter of intent (LOI) for the joint development and financing of the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) project in Saint-Nazaire d’Acton area. This milestone marks Canada’s first BIOGEST RNG project and a pivotal moment in the commitment to advancing green gas initiatives in Quebec. Located in Quebec, the Saint-Nazaire d’Acton area project will produce 105,000 MMBTU (350 Nm³/h) of RNG and demonstrate the benefits of the PowerRing technology, underscoring its suitability and effectiveness for the Canadian market.

Envest Corp. Awarded Long-Term Organics Processing Contract

Envest Corp. (“Envest”), an independent clean energy producer, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a significant, long-term organics processing contract by the County of Simcoe. The contract governs the processing and recycling of the County of Simcoe’s residential source separated organics (“SSO”) at Envest’s Southgate Renewables facility in Dundalk, Ontario. The contract term is for 20 years, effective October 1, 2027. Southgate Renewables is permitted to recycle 73,000 tonnes annually of primarily SSO from the “green bin” collection programs of municipalities throughout Ontario. Its anaerobic digestion process and biogas upgrading treatment is designed to produce over 200,000 gigajoules of renewable natural gas (“RNG”) per year.

Village Farms RNG Facility Commences Operations in British Columbia

Village Farms International, Inc. (Village Farms) has started operations at the Delta, British Columbia renewable natural gas (RNG) production facility, in partnership with Atlanta-based Terreva Renewables (Terreva). The Delta RNG facility is the result of Village Farms’ strategic initiative to transition its wholly owned subsidiary, Village Farms Clean Energy, Inc. (VFCE), to a more sustainable business model using advanced technologies. The Delta RNG project will immediately contribute incremental cash flow and profitability to Village Farms, according to the company.
